General Shipping Information

We look forward to receiving your order. For best results, make note of the Product Description, Size, Order No. and the desired quantity. Then phone (402 346-4005), fax (402 346-5440) or e-mail your order information. Please be sure to include your name, address, and phone number.

We will call to confirm your order within one business day. At that time, we will provide you with shipping information, your order total and arrange for payment.

Shipping Charges:
All items under 5' can be shipped via FedEx Ground.
All items 5' tall and over must be shipped by truck. Please call for quote on truck freight.

Shipping FAQs

How do you ship?
All of our items are boxed. Small items are shipped FedEx Ground. All products over five foot (5') tall are too big to send FedEx Ground and must be shipped by motor freight (common carrier/truck). We ship via the carrier with the lowest rates to your location from Omaha.

How are shipping costs figured?
Motor freight can be expensive and you should consider this when ordering. Freight costs are mostly determined by: The distance from Omaha, Nebraska, and the weight and size of the shipment. Other factors include: Business or residential delivery, the need for a delivery appointment, and any other notification requirements.

Do I get an estimate on freight charges?
We will e-mail the estimated freight charges at the same time we send confirmation of your order. If the freight charge is too high, you may cancel the order at this time. Orders in progress are not cancelable. When the order is shipped, we will bill your credit card for your plants and the actual freight charges.

How can I lower my freight charges?
Carriers will charge a fee for delivery to a residential address. You might consider having your order delivered to a business address (you will have to get it to your home from there). UPS also charges for residential, but this amount is very small.

When we ship your order, we will send a copy of the bill of lading to you. We will also send a phone number for the terminal that your shipment will be going to. If you will call and arrange for delivery, this may save you money. We have to instruct the carrier that you will be calling them.

If you are planning to order several items at different times, you will save freight by combining the orders.

Be aware that the freight company will not dispose of any boxes or other packing material, nor are they obligated to place the items in your home.

Why are you billing me separately for freight charges?
We do not add freight to the price of each item because averaging costs to different parts of the country would cause you to overpay freight charges. You pay the actual freight charges for the items you order. No more, no less. We don't ship "free" because we do not want to over-charge you for freight.

What if something is damaged?
We have packed all items carefully to assure their safe arrival. Please inspect your boxes carefully for any damage. Ownership of the items passed to you when the freight company picked them up from us, and any damages must be filed against the carrier.

What if I want my order shipped to a different address?
No problem. Just let us know before we ship. Be advised that the freight charges may be different than the amount we quoted when you ordered. If the order has been shipped, we will notify the carrier who will attempt to accommodate you. You will be billed for any additional charges, if any.

How much is freight, really?
FedEx Ground: Averages 8-10% of the total of your order. You will be billed for the actual amount.
Truck: Averages 10-15% of the total of your order. Any special handling (residential delivery, delivery appointment, etc) is extra.

How do you create such alive looking plants?
We literally go for walks in the woods and observe trees and plants. We visit greenhouses and nurseries to see how to give you the most life-like products.
We pick the best sources for materials that we can find. We are always improving our product line with the latest innovations in artificial foliages.
When we have the knowledge and materials gathered up, the most important thing comes into play, our Planteriors Designers. These folks have been in the business for a long time and have a special instinct for color, balance and design. Our creations are made by some of the best designers in the business.

Will Planteriors install my plants?
Certainly. We will travel to your site to install plants and trees, or we will supervise the installation. We charge travel expenses, plus a fee for hours on the site. Each project is different, please call or e-mail for more information.

Can I install my plants?
Of course! All trees and plants are shipped arranged. Some minor adjustment of foliage may be necessary.

Do your products carry a warranty?
Yes. We extend a one year warranty to the original purchaser for a period of one year from the shipment date. Please request a copy of our complete warranty.

How long does it take to get my order?
Normally, 4-6 weeks from receipt of your order. Occasionally, things such as strikes, shortages of materials, shipping delays, weather, or other acts of God may cause a delay.

Do you have a minimum order?
No, but keep in mind the shipping charges if you order one plant that has to be shipped by truck.

What about fireproofing?
Call or e-mail for quote on specific items.

What if I don't see what I want in your catalog?
Call, fax, or e-mail us. Our catalog is representative of our product line. We have been creating custom items for over 40 years so unusual sizes, shapes, or even plants are not a problem. Do you need 25' tall trees? Ledge plants? Plants for built-in planters? Just call us with your request.

How do I clean my plants?
All plants should be dusted with a feather duster on a weekly basis. Foliage may be cleaned periodically with mild soap and cool water (less than 75 Fahrenheit). Large trees can be cleaned with an air compressor (45 psi maximum), or with a hand held garden hose with a sprayer set to 'gentle'.
